One more ride

I just realized I am old enough that I can rent a car buy a car and drive to... anywhere. The ocean. The arctic. The end of the road, then get a bicycle or something and carry on. Into the sunset. I mean, if I'm going to be in stasis and function as a human for a little while more I might as well just strike out again and see how far I can go. I've already lived enough for this human lifetime. Not sure if I've missed my flight, or if one more call will come when I am both ready and free. But I'm not going to settle into waiting, into stasis, and one more adventure isn't going to fail me. I reject the narrative of human urban civilization and push out beyond. New horizons. Feather in the wind.

What am I waiting for.
